Novocastrian are designers, craftsmen, architects, metalworkers, artists, welders, makers and engineers. They forge bespoke objects and environments, providing exceptional pieces to some of the world’s most distinguished clients. Their craft is born of industry, of the manufacturing heritage of their home, the North East of England.

The Challenge

Novocastrian tasked NE6 with replacing their comprehensive Excel Pricing Matrix with an online solution. They wanted to replicate the spreadsheet’s functionality online so that their staff and clients could easily access their product inventory, bespoke variations, and prices.

To allow clients to order the products, the solution also required e-commerce functionality. The solution’s email notifications included product information, variation data, and a full pricing breakdown based on the Pricing Matrix’ formulas.

The Solution

NE6 designed and built the solution with React technology, as well as a custom back end content management system and API. It is fully responsive and accessible across all browsers, devices, and resolutions. Novocastrian can easily add products, variations, and cost calculations using the content management system, which eliminates the need for a spreadsheet.

NE6 is collaborating with Novocastrian to expand this into a larger and more robust CRM, bringing even more value to Novocastrian and their clients.
